About
I am a curious, creative licensed clinical counselor and art therapist (LCPC & ATR).
My approach to therapy is to foster a safe, affirming, and compassionate relationship where we can work collaboratively on specific goals to gain greater self-awareness, personal growth and healthier living.
I am person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and I hold an anti-oppressive framework.
I believe in an integrative, holistic, and relational approach to therapy where we address both chronic and acute mental health concerns.
Outside of the therapy space, I am a wife and busy toddler mom. I enjoy traveling, cooking, hiking, creating my own art and finding Chicago’s best pastry shops.
Background
I hold a Masters of Counseling & Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago and Bachelors of Fine Arts from School of Visual Arts in New York City (MA & BFA)
I've worked in wide range of different therapeutic settings including community mental health, inpatient & outpatient hospital settings, expressive group therapy and group practice.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Non-Violent Communication.
I am also a certified Positive Discipline Facilitator.
Focus
My areas of expertise are anxiety, self-esteem, depression, motherhood, identity work, occupational stress, perinatal mental health, interpersonal relationships, mindfulness and trauma.
I specialize in working with adults, creatives, women and families.
